Leon Mann Jr. Enrichment Center
Carteret County’s central resource for adults age 50 and older. Programs include fitness, wellness, educational activities, social opportunities, meals, caregiver resources, respite support and free Medicare and SHIIP counseling. Transportation and weekday meals may be available to eligible adults age 60 and older.

Provides adult primary care, including physicals, sick visits, immunizations, cancer screenings, Hepatitis C treatment and chronic-condition screening and management. Medicaid and several insurance plans are accepted. A sliding-fee scale is available for qualifying uninsured residents.

A nonprofit PACE program helping qualifying adults age 55 and older remain safely at home. Coordinated services may include medical care, rehabilitation, prescriptions, transportation, meals, social activities and in-home support. The New Bern program serves selected areas of Carteret County.
